The inauguration Dallas Pride Run is organized by Front Runners Dallas, a running club for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community of Dallas, Fort Worth (DFW) metro area, under the umbrella of the International FrontRunners Club, one of the largest LGBT organizations in the world. FRD's goal is to promote healthy living and exercise in the LGBT community and bridge runners and walkers across races, genders, and sexual orientation.
The event will benefit AIDS Interfaith Network (AIN).
AIDS Interfaith Network (AIN) helps prevent the spread of HIV and serves persons living with HIV/AIDS and other vulnerable populations. For over 25 years, AIN has provided help and hope to thousands of North Texans in the fight against AIDS. Currently, we provide prevention education and direct services that reduce HIV incidence, increase access to care and optimize health outcomes, and reduce HIV-related health disparities.
The annual Dallas Pride, organized by the Dallas Tavern Guild will be held on September 16, 2012. The The Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade starts at 2PM along Cedar Spring Road from Wycliff Ave. to Lee Park. The Dallas Pride Run precedes the parade in Reverchon Park, approximately seven blocks south of Cedar Spring Road.
